Ruby, zloděj individualista, je těsně po ukrytí lupu polapen, odsouzen a vsazen do vězení. Naneštěstí pro něj zrovna do cely ke Quentinovi, nejukecanějšímu vězni na světě a neuvěřitelnému blbovi. Ruby se musí za každou cenu dostat ven. Chce si vyzvednout svůj lup a hlavně být co nejdál od Quentina. Jenomže je to Quentin, kdo vymyslí plán útěku, a tak si asi bude muset Ruby na Quentina zvyknout… Cesta nesourodé dvojice přináší nejen řadu nebezpečných, ale i komických situací. Film těží z těch nejlepších tradic klasické francouzské komedie.
