Flash čelí Blackoutovi, jenž je dalším meta-člověkem, který ovládá elektřinu. Během jejich bitvy Blackout z Barryho vysaje veškerou energii, kvůli čemuž ztratí Barry rychlost. Doktor Wells, Caitlin a Cisco se tomu snaží přijít na kloub, ale v tom k nim vpadne Blackout, který se chce pomstít Wellsovi. Skupina vědců tak musí přijít na to, jak se s Blackoutem vypořádat, když jim Barry nemůže pomoci. Během toho přepadne Král hodin policejní stanici, kde drží rukojmí, mezi nimiž je i Iris a Joe.
